Recently I got turned on to Extra peppermint gum. Flavor lasts a long time, and my breath seems to stay fresh. There are two drawbacks to this kind of gum, however. First is that it’s the Wrigley’s paper-wrapped stick form of gum, so I always have a piece of trash to get rid of after eating the gum. Secondly is that a whole stick of gum is just too much gum for me, so I always end up having to tear it in half, leaving behind a half a stick of gum and half a paper wrapper to get rid of. My ideal piece of gum would be in that chiclet form (the kind that doesn’t have a wrapper), but I haven’t really found a gum of that type that lasts as long as this Wrigley’s Extra does. What are your gum recommendations? ---

I like Stride Sweet Peppermint-- in fact, it’s really the only gum I chew. But it’s still paper-wrapped so there’s no relief on that front! ---

Does it have to be portable? I keep containers of Mentos gum (small round pieces) on my desks at home and at work. I can grab just one piece or several, and no wrappers. 🙂 The container’s too big to put in a pocket, though. ---

I could probably put a mentos container in my purse. Does it taste fresh for a long time? ---

I think so. YMMV, but it’s not very expensive to find out. 🙂
