Long term study of doomed 80's "crack babies"- Result? Being a crack baby wasn't that big a deal

I strongly disagree with the idea that growing up poor was a big deal. There are a great many Dopers (including myself) who grew up poor–and that didn’t stop them when they were adult.

The key point is not poverty (lack of money) but black underclass which is cultural (drug/crime oriented, no father raising the kid…)

Otherwise, why should I listen to the opinion you pulled out of your ass over the people who studied and researched?
