There’s a guy in my synagogue who has a striking resemblance to George W. Bush. (Either that, or W’s an undercover Jew). He’s a good friend of my dad’s, which makes a strange sorta sense, as Dad is one of the last five Americans who love Bush and Cheney. ---

In the hotel I stayed in Istanbul , the front office guy had a striking resemblance to George Clooney. I commented on this, and he told me " yeah, a lot of people tell me this ". 😉 ---

I had a job interview today (and got the job!), and one of the guys being interviewed along side me looked like a slightly more conventionally good-looking Nick Cave. Which IMHO, made him look like a slightly worse looking Nick Cave. ---

When I was about 20, I sort-of dated a guy who looked frighteningly like a slightly heavier Charlie Sheen (as Sheen did look just a few years later, but at the time he was still thin). I mean, if he’d lost a few pounds people would have been asking him for autographs. We didn’t really date though, it was more buddies-with-him-wanting-to-date, so I never kissed a Charlie Sheen lookalike. ---

In high school, the sister of the english teacher was a dead ringer for Liza Minnelli, the teacher bore a strong resemblence to the picture of Paul McCartney that was included with the White Album, and I used to work with a guy who looked exactly like, and sounded exactly like the guy with the stapler in Office Space. ---

A new employee had started working that day. I was at the front desk and suddenly wondered why Mike Tyson was walking into the office with a bunch of flowers. It turns out he was new employee’s boyfriend and not Tyson. But he could have been Tyson’s clone, right down to having the gold teeth. ---

I have a generic look-like-someone-you-know kind of look. Sometimes people are angry when I’m not Sharon or Eve or whoever looks like me - they seem to feel I’m an imposter. One girl was so insistent that I was her friend but playing a game of pretending not to know her it was surreal. ---

When I was in college, there was a football player who looked like the wrestler Big Boss Man. He even dressed like it for Halloween. I also currently work with someone who resembles Bill Campbell. I’ve been told that I look kind of like Commander Riker. It could be because I grew a beard between season one and two. Or maybe it’s because I gained 20 pounds between season one and two. ---

Last month I did magic for an outdoor event. They had all sorts of people there doing all sorts of activities. One of the people there was doing tie dyes. She looked exactly like Dita Von Teese. ---

Heh, a few years ago I ran into George W. Bush’s identical twin at a Dem fund raiser at a local farm. I told him he was evidently confused and got a smile. But since, I’ve quit telling people they look like celebrity X no matter how bad the temptation - you never know how they really feel about it. I kept getting comparisons to Meryl Streep. Bad enough, but I was depressed for days after someone said I looked like Glenn Close. Eww - not only looks like a man, but has a man’s name. ---
