Stereolab has French songs. I don’t remember enough of my high school French (and I probably never knew enough) to know what they’re saying, but there are some fun pop songs in French. Check Lo Boob Oscilator – I don’t think that one is about Marxism. Edith Piaf doing “La vie en rose” is a classic. “Poupee de cire, poupee de son” – bonus points for the Arcade Fire version. ---
