Does anyone know of a site where I can do this? I tried many gambling sites and I can’t find one that will let you create a tournament style room. ---

I tried Yahoo games but their tourneys aren’t real tourneys. You can’t start a fresh game there where everyone has an equal amount of money like in a real tourney. The money you have gets carried over from game to game. Does anyone else know of a site? ---

I don’t know if it is what you are looking for, but there are a few pool halls in Austin where you can rent a room. They are ususally used fo rdominoes at the ones I have visited, but I don’t see a problem with switching the game around. Oh, you meant legal place to play. Oops ---

I’m looking for a web-site where you can start your own tournament style texas hold-em game to be played on-line and make it a private room where you have to be invited to play. There are many sites where you can do this for regular ring games but I haven’t found one yet where you can do this for a tournament style game. ---

Does the possibility exist that you could create one on Yahoo! and have everyone create a new profile just for that? I guess even if it would work it’d be a pain in the ass. ---

I’ll let you know **Otto** ; I haven’t given up yet. I got a good lead from someone on another message board with [this](http://www.play4funpoker.com/) site. The person who lead me there swears there is a way to create private rooms there and it seems he’s right, based on the names of the rooms ( I think one of them is titled “duck farts”). However, I can’t find a way to do it. I have e-mailed the site on directions and I’m awaiting a reply. I’ll reply back here when ( if ) I find out and I’ll e-mail anyone who’s interested. ---

OK, I’ve got semi-good news. I found a site that I don’t think I’ll mind hosting private tournaments in, however, the only catch is that there is a .99 buy in per tournament. I assume for that price the site’s rake won’t be too harsh. Anyone interested in playing in regularly scheduled Dopers only Texas hold 'em tournaments, please e-mail me and I’ll let you in on the details. I’ve got a pretty good idea on how to work this out. In the mean time, I still haven’t given up on my search for a way to do this for play money. ---
