I remember many years ago, long before both the internet and my age allowing my memory to play tricks on me, I was writing something and wrote, “I am shore that…”. I instantly knew that shore wasn’t right but for the life of me I could not think of any alternative way to spell the word that I wanted. After an embarrassing period of agonizing, I eventually wrote, “I am certain that…”. Shortly after “sure” popped into my head. ---
