Yeah, I was leery of the NewLine, too, but figured for the price and free shipping I didn’t have much to lose if it was crap. I’m surprised and very pleased with it, but there certainly could be a quality control issue that made me lucky when another person gets a crap one. The shelter I work at gets Tanita brand baby scales donated to us sometimes. As far as how they hold up under harsh conditions/abuse they’re no better or worse than than the cheaper ones I buy when I have to spend money on them.
