I remember seeing an article not too-too long ago regarding where the story of Adam and Eve coming from; something about a misinterpreted joke. Searching the archives doesn’t bring it up and I was wondering if someone could link me to it if in fact I did read it here and not some other site. Thanks,
~adam

If possible, IM me at xEvilAdam on AIM due to the fact I have very little memory and will forget I ever asked this question.

I believe this is the one you want:

[Do women have an extra rib because Eve got one of Adam’s?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_095b.html)

Thanks, I saw that on the search but I thought the question was complete separate from that of “Do women have an extra rib.” Silly me, I’ll look a bit harder next time.
