I hope this is the correct board for this question…

Does anyone here know of any sites where I can find FREE plans to build a go kart? I’ve searched Google and found one [site](http://www.mxk.com/1ykplans/) that shows plans for the small go-kart shown in the picture, (the plans are located on the left in the navigation bar) which isn’t exactly what I’m looking for (it’s too small and dosn’t have a rollcage). If these are the only plans to be found, I was thinking I might be able to use the same plans on a larger scale (would this be possible? or are the plans designed to only for that size go kart… would the frame not have enough support if I were to make it bigger?) and make a custom rollcage for the top.

My other question is how much horsepower should I put on this thing? I don’t want the top speed more than… 25 or 30 on a flat straightaway (because I’m sure younger kids will be driving this).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
