I (think) I have a memory of a YouTube type video where an online multiplayer avatar would play some really annoying music and follow someone around. The person who is being followed understandably gets annoyed and turns around and complains to the player.

Is that too vague? Can you help me find a video like this?

No (but I thought that was a funny episode).
I seem to remember it being a video of a World of Warcraft type game.
