No problemo, sorry if I sounded huffy. Sonny’s a great favorite of mine, as are Getz and Webster.

AND King Curtis…thanks for bringin’ him up. The great tenor sax honkers of the '50s and '60s never seem to make it into jazz threads around this place!

Speaking of honkers, there’s what I take to be a current cut being played on our jazz station quite a bit. Ultra-fast-paced version of “Something’s Gotta Give.” Shades of Rollins, and I can’t remember the artist. Spectacular playing though.

How in the world did we get this far without mentioning Paul Gonsalves’ blistering epic solo on _Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue_ from **Ellington at Newport 1956**? Wow.
