This is a song about depression. It is sung from the cats point of view So sad, so sweet, and so funny— can’t resist posting the lyrics. Unfortunately The Weakerthans broke up this year. They wrote another song about Virttute. If you own a cat, have ever owned a cat, or know what a cat is do not listen to “Virtute Explains Her Disappearance,” unless you like sobbing uncontrollably. That’s not a song about depression, that’s a depressing song. ---
