At some point in the last couple of years, there was a thread in which someone was talking about a period of time in (I believe) British history that was just ripe for being turned into a show like The Tudors. Lots of twists and turns, interesting relationships between all the people, etc. I think it may have been during the era of Old English, but possibly it was more modern than that. And it could have been Scandinavian rather than British, but I don’t believe so. I tried searching for “british history” and “interesting history” but none of the threads that came up seemed to be the one. ---
