# looking for video format conversion software

Hey all,

I’ve been fooling about with my snazzy new Ipod (from my bro and sis-in-law), and I’m realizing that, while there’s space to put movies and whatever, aparently I need specific file-types for it (mpeg-4 and mov, I believe). None of my stuff is that, and when I look for converters, pretty much all of them are either 1) pricey, 2) mac only, or 3) both. I’m on a windows box, and I’d rather not shell out a bunch of dough if I don’t have to. Anyone got any favorites they can recommend?
