Did I just get groped? I went to training camp this morning - got a grin from one of my favorite players as I was walking in. Exhibition game is this Saturday! _does hockey happy dance_ Congrats, **Jahdra**! _adds bounces to happy dance_ Sometimes it does pay to be nice. I had promised the nurse at the clinic where I did the RLS study that if we got giveaway tickets with our season tickets this season, I would give them to her. She was really great about hooking me up with samples of Mirapex, which is pretty expensive. So I took her the tickets today, and she gave me 6 weeks worth of Mirapex! _more happy dancing_ I love the Extra Creamy Cool Whip - it tastes much more like real whipped cream than the regular stuff. However, I will not turn down the regular stuff. I like pumpkin pie ok, but I prefer sweet **N.O.T** pie. I used to like pecan pie, but it just seems too sweet to me in the last few years. The library has opened a small cafe, and the lady who runs it makes the most wonderful black forest and Italian Creme cakes. It is a shame the library is so close to my house… Eat your heart out, **Swampy** , I’m having lunch at Rose Hill Seafood on Friday. Stuffed shrimps - here I come! ---

Congratulations, **Jahdra**! **db** , she’s so cute. Wow. I’ve had a nice, relaxing day. I’ve got curried cauliflower and potato soup cooking, Mr. Lissar should be home soon for dinner, everything is relatively tidy, and I had Attacks Husband’s great company all day. I don’t believe he was too sick to work, but I do believe he was too sick and grumpy to put up with his (very annoying) boss. And since he was feeling all muddleheaded from teh sick, he didn’t want to ruin what he was working on (a very expensive piece of metalwork). Anyway, it’s been a beautiful, relaxing day. And it’s Fall! And cold! I’m so happy. 😃 ---

What can I say, I was feeling naughty, and Og knows I come into contact with lots of dogs and their leavings every day… Mmm. Pumpkin pie. Perhaps I should try making one soon. I’m not sure I’ve done one before, but I know it isn’t terribly difficult. Cool Whip is teh evil, though. I’m not even terribly fond of the real thing on pie. I know, I know, but I like my pie plain. I also separate cake and ice cream; I’ll eat them at the same time, but they have to be on separate plates/bowls/whatevers. I have no idea why I’m so picky about desserts of all things. Due to an advance I got before leaving town and not working very much the first half of this month, I got an amusing paycheck – she wasn’t going to give me one at all but the bookkeeping lady said she should – for NOTHING! In fact, technically I owe her a couple of dollars. She’ll take that out of my next check, but until the begining of the month I guess I’m going to have to be a very very good girl where money is concerned. No more advances, unless I’m going to starve. This one I needed, though. ---

Congatulations on the job, **Jahdra**! ha, I like **GT’s** ultimate pumpkin pie definition, even though I’ve not tried it yet. I had something really tasty today for lunch - no it wasn’t pumpkin! - it was Lean Cuisine’s butternut squash ravioli with snap peas. It’s one of the “Spa Cuisine” meals, with extra veggies. But that butternut squash ravioli is just delicious, let me tell you. 🙂 Why no, I don’t always think about food … really. 🙂 Tomorrow is hump day, half-way through the week. I’ve got a lead on an ice cream place in DC that supposedly has some of the best pumpkin ice cream evah, so I think I know where I’ll be headed on Saturday afternoon. ---

Congrats on the job, **Jahdra**! I hope it works out well for you. Hmm, I wonder if Turkey Hill has put out their pumpkin ice cream yet? It’s their seasonal flavor that comes out about this time of year. Last year Papa Tigs kept me _well_ supplied. He knows my weaknesses, obviously. And speaking of pumpkins, I’m off to turn into one myself shortly here. It’s so nice not hurt so much! I hope I sleep well tonight – certainly better than last night, not that that’s particularly difficult. ---

Well, here I am, late to the party. Nobody goosed or groped me either, **Mr. Bus** **Guy,** so we can commiserate together. **rigsy,** I hope your blues go away soon. I hate to see you feeling so down. The rest of you lot with the Teh Sick had better get well soon. I cannot catch any germs, dammit. Come this Monday, I’ll be on the only person in my little cell at work. My boss will be TDY and all the other gals are off. They were giving flu shots at work today. Actually, it was a choice of the nasal spray or the shot. I didn’t take either. I have never, EVER received a flu shot, and I’m not about to start now. I don’t have contact with the patients here, so I don’t see the need to do it. I don’t really care for Miracle Whip. I prefer old fashioned heavy whipping cream, that I whip up myself. If I have German vanilla sugar around, I add a little of that too. Pumpkin pie is _okay_, but it’s not one my all time favorites. I’ve (hah! positive contraction) had some really poorly made pumpkin pies. I’ve had some pretty good pumpkin pies too. I like pumpkin cheesecake, bread, pastas too. I’ve never had pumpkin soup, but would like to try it some time. That was a great OP, by the way. Glad you’re here **Plynk.** Congrats on the job **Jahdra!** I hope you enjoy it. Fell asleep early and now I’m very very awake. And thinking that I forgot to tell **taxi** how exciting it is to see that she and **KeithT** have found a place to buy!
