Ok, so Iā€™m reeeeealy late to this MMP party. Five pages? Oh, wait, it is Wednesday morning. Well, since Iā€™m so late, I brought funnel cakes! (And some pie, too, if you absolutely insist) This has been an interesting week so far, starting with the weekend. You all are the first to know about this significant ground-breaking discussion between my bf and me (I?). Yep, thatā€™s right, we talked about the big M, marriage. Current thoughts are this, no, weā€™re not there yet. Lots of obstacles in the way right now. Maybe weā€™ll get there in 3 to 5 years. Congrats on the job, **Jah**! I decided not to go to work today, so I went back to sleep after 'im indoors went to work and I didnā€™t wake up until just after 11am. How decadent is that? Anyway, today my headā€™s clearer but Iā€™m coughing fit to rupture something. Thereā€™s leftover chilli in the fridge for lunch, and I have nothing to do this afternoon except decide whether to watch several episodes of ā€œPrison Breakā€ or read a book. What a life! ---

Off to work soon. Cold here today (well, colder anyway). #1 son has standardized testing today, but senior year daughter is off. Fair enough, I thought; I never told them it had to be nonfiction. He makes lamps and chandeliers. Itā€™s a very small, niche company, and his boss is _extremely_ eccentric. The pay is decent, and the things they make are gorgeous. No word from BiL yet. If the assignment had been: ā€œWrite an intriguing beginning to a longer piece of writingā€ she would have gotten a B, I suppose, but the assignment was writing a descriptive, stand-alone essay. Honestly - first class of the semester, I tell them: MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR ASSIGNMENT EVERY WEEK but do they listen? Of course not. ---

Really, a very moving OP **Plynck** , thanks for sharing. Hang around here, would ya? That kind of story telling is a wonderful way to begin the week with. Hey everybody, I think I am back. I know that I have said this before, but there have been some big changes. I was having computer trouble, and finally switched over to the cable companyā€™s high speed Internet after waiting for high speed Internet for five years on super slow dial up. I also switched my phones over, and they are very cool phones indeed, and since I kept the computer phone line I now have my own private number, and the teens may have the use of the main number, can I get a shout out for not having to share my phone with the rug rats anymore? šŸ˜ƒ I have not been able to keep up with the MMP (or anything else) but I would like to congratulate **doggio** for opening your heart and taking in another older shelter beagle. Just a thought, if she had indeed been a puppy mill dog she might feel more comfortable with a crate. My dogs have access to several crates, I leave the doors either open or have taken the doors off. Itā€™s normal for a dog to want to den. I have gotten a lot of my crates from the thrift store, although they really arenā€™t expensive brand new. And **special1** , what a sqeeable kitten!!! Have fun, kittens are more fun than, well, they are a lot of fun! We have had termination dust and wet snow for two weeks, with more snow in the immediate future. It wonā€™t be so bad if we get a good solid base of snow before the ice comes, which were the precise conditions of last winter, and which killed off at least half of my bulbs and perennials, the majority of the wild berries, and far too many deer. Well, I woke up at 4:00, two hours earlier than the alarm is set to go off, so I am showered and dressed and now the getting the kids off to school process begins. Iā€™ll try to stick my head in later, happy hump day, yā€™all!
