Sounds like some movement in a positive direction. There was a point in my life when I would have tried ECT, so if it comes about, I say go for it. Hopefully it won’t come about. More good thoughts coming your way. ---

I am going to chime in here. Explore all the ather avenues before you go down the ECT path. I did 14 rounds of ECT and my memory was pretty well ruined for a long time. At this point, I am not sure what I do not remember if that makes any sense. I am not saying that it is not a good choice, just that it should be way down the list. Meanwhile, be somewhere you area safe to work on the medications. You will eventually find the solution. I made it through & am better now than I have been in decades. ---

Let me know how you’re doin on Abilify, will ya? I just recently got put on it myself, but i did not do my usual research so I dont know too much about it. My mom always told me: tummy in, shoulders back, and tits up. :smack: oh! but she only said that when we were bowling! 😃 ---

That sounds like a good report to me! Being able to phone in your sessions when you are having agoraphobia sounds like a dream come true to someone who has cancelled many appointments at the last minute! I think I will check into that myself. Feel the warmth… ---

Sorry guys for not getting back to you all sooner. Jaceson has been monitoring the board for me and I just haven’t quite yet felt like ‘talking’ much. I’ll try to do better today though. 🙂 Anyway, as far as an update goes, the Abilify _does_ seem to be working. I’ve been on the 10 mg. pill for 2 days and my depression is lessening a bit. Which means I’m simply shocked. The downside is what usually goes in conjunction with one aspect receding is another begins to ramp up… in this case, it’s the anxiety / panic attacks. I’m assuming that’ll be what the psychiatrist will address next, as she said she has other newer medications that I haven’t tried yet that should be able to do the trick. We’ll see, but that appointment is still all the way to the middle of March and when I’ll ask about getting the order to start extensive in-patient therapy. We’ve decided that I’ll forgo a therapist until then, hoping that I’ll find one I connect with (and have already established history) from that. So first thing’s first, right? Unbelievably, I’m actually optimistic, just agitated as hell. Thanks everyone for asking and for being concerned. You all do indeed mean the world to me and I promise I won’t forget to post more information in the future as I get it. Just bear with me. For almost the first time in 13 years, this feels doable.
