They’ve turned up human remains in the dump they’ve been searching. [The Story](http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&ncid=718&e=3&u=/ap/20041001/ap_on_re_us/missing_wife) Quoting a detective, “Odds are, if it’s human, it’s Lori.” I read someplace that Mark Hacking is planning to write a book on this experience. ---

Obviously the police are not saying that it is Lori’s body until they get back DNA results, etc. from the crime lab, but everything seems to point to the fact that it is indeed her. > [@pugluvr](#): > > I read someplace that Mark Hacking is planning to write a book on this experience. Yes, he is, but given his history of storytelling, it may be difficult to decide whether to place the book in the fiction or non-fiction section. ---

Well, I hope this brings some closure for her family. I saw her mother on Oprah and she was just twisted up in knots. Can you imagine someone you love lying in a dump? Jeez. The people who went through tons of refuse to get to her should be given a good pat on the back. ---
