Back when it first came out C.W. McCall had a release called _Black Bear Road_, that I heard on the radio while down in Texas. it’s about the perils of a family drive over, a rough road, in a rented 4WD vehicle, in the Rockies. I thought it hilarious and taped it off of the radio so later my dad in Kansas could hear it. I was surprised that he found it so funny he started writing down the words. I had “Black Bear Road” on vinyl as a kid; the album included “Convoy”. Unfortunately, I didn’t have “Wolf Creek Pass”, which would have warned me about driving that road in winter. Scariest thing I’ve ever done. ---
