# Looks like we're getting a new roof. I just had mine done a couple months ago. They tore off all the old shingles and tar paper and stuff. Put down a moisture barrier, new tar paper and new shingles. They also put on a ridge cap which it didn’t have before. Also a new sewer vent. He also threw in the new drip edge and rake edging. They didn’t put new flashing around the chimney and he said they tore some ‘white shit’ off of it which was a mistake because it leaked around the chimney. He went up there and put some black, tarry stuff around the chimney and the leaking stopped. So make sure they seal around the chimney. ---
