There have been plenty of occasions when I would’ve liked to have corrected a previous error, but have refrained. Unless something is wildly amiss, I think any modification sets a bad precedent. I wrote the line quite deliberately as an alliterative ‘trousers too tight’. (And with nine beats, in conventional form, I thought this could be easily followed. Omitting your ‘the’ would’ve done that, too, without any loss of meaning)._ ---
