I just realized I have my own version of MHaye’s grudge rule to spout, this game. Do not lynch peeker just because he’s being peeker. Most of the time, he’s town. Do not lynch Meeko just because he’s being Meeko. Most of the time, he’s town. Seriously, the whole spoiled thread facepalms when these pie-fights get going. Don’t make them mess up their eyeliner over there.\* There could really be some odd roles in this, couldn’t there? Gollum, Saruman, Denethor … what do you do with them? Or it could be completely normal mafia. Fun, fun. \*Now watch peeker get Shelob and Meeko Sauron, just to make me crazy. ---

How does this work, exactly? Are the participants meant to role-play Gandalf, Saruman, Frodo, Aragorn, etc.? If so, everybody knows who is evil & good from the start, so can Gandalf then be evil? If the character names are all fictional, then how does it connect to LOTR? ---

If it’s like other themed mafia, the characters names/powers will be Lotr based. However, usually a) either the scum will have fake claims supplied b) or alignments may not be what you would expect from the books Though Mahaloth may be doing something else… ---
