# Losing my VIRGINity Saturday night.  I await it with antici-

That’s right, for the first time in my life, I’m going to see a live production of _The Rocky Horror Show_. A group of UCSC students are putting it on, and I’m friends with Magenta. Then the next week, a friend of mine at UCR is the stage manager of _Rocky_ there. I’m going to fly down and see that closing weekend.

I need to find a french maid outfit and a freaky curly red wig quick and cheap. I also need to give the person I’m going with a crash course, as she’s never even seen it on tape. (!)

And now, the reason this is in the Café Society-  
I really want to find the VH1 25th Anniversary Show. It was a tribute show with a bunch of celebrities. I remember Eric McCormick performed (I think) _Sweet Transvestite_. Rashida Jones from Boston Public also performed. One woman sang all the parts of _Rose Tint My World_, and I remember someone doing a damn good job of _Planet, Schmanet, Janet_. At the end, Richard O’Brien, Patricia Quinn, and Little Nell came on stage and did the _Time Warp_. If anyone knows where to download any audio or video of the show, I’d be grateful. (Obviously, please limit suggestions to non-p2p sources.)

I did a production of this last year, and had never seen any version of it (I went out and rented the movie as soon as I got the gig, of course).

It’s a lot of fun, especially if the actors are good at playing off of the crowd. I was amazed at how many things get shouted out during the performance.

I’m sure you’ll have a blast though. Can’t help you with that specific recording, however.
