Now, is the notion of the tail section people being the focus next season just fan supposition, or is it based on something said by the show’s producers?

Because I would hate that.

Jimmy Kimmel is on ABC now and is doing stuff on Lost – interviewing some cast members and such. He just asked Hurley, “Can I pee on your foot?”

Then he revealed who TCM is. (It’s Cookie Monster!) 😃

Kimmel is interviewing Hurley and Michael.

He’s asking if they will be back next season. Garcia (Hurley) says, “Well, I’m still standing at the end of the season.”

Kimmel says to Perrineau (Michael): “And you’re drowning.”
Perrineau: “Yeah, I’m in the middle of the ocean, I’m black, and I can’t swim…”

According to the Kimmel interview, the woman who Sawyer was bringing back to his hotel room (in episode 16 “Outlaws”), when Hibbs (T-2000) was waiting for him – that woman is Harold Perrineau’s real-life wife. And they said she was also the lottery drawing girl in episode 18 “Numbers”.

> I must admit I only got into the show for the last half of the season, so I’ve had lots of ground to make up, but Locke is by far the most intriguing character I’ve ever met. He has the air of a religious man, the skills of a trained killer, the focus of a computer hacker, and the motivation of a desperate man given a second chance. I can’t decide who’s the main character anymore, I think Locke has stolen the show.
>

> Sayid - Muslim name for “Master” – Could this be from his control of the radio and his overall ability to handle just about any situation. And yet he is not a master of himself. He tortures the guy for the asthma medicine, leaves because of his shame (guilt?), meets CFL, then comes back and resumes kicking ass.

Could some kind soul gather the links for all the previous _ **Lost** _ threads and post them here as a response? **ronincyberpun** k needs to be brought up to speed so he/she can jump in and have fun, too.

p.s. Helluva capsule description of Locke, **ronincyberpunk**.

On Kimmel, they are talking about US! (okay, people like us…)

He asked J.J. Abrams, “Okay, people online are talking about the show and coming up with theories. And some say you read these things and get your ideas there. Is this true?”

Abrams jokes, “Oh yeah, we get all our stuff from there. It’s all stolen.”

Then he says, “The thing is, the people on the internet are all smarter than anybody working on the show. It’s amazing, they come up with these complete working theories.”

(Then Kimmel says, “Yeah, but they all live with their mothers…”)

I am SO going to call his show and complain when mom is done with the phone…

That hatch must be very fragile, because they didn’t tamp the dynamite. All that would do would be make a big scar on the hatch…without tamping, the force of the explosion is wasted!

> Lots of cliffhangers. If Season Two really does shift focus to the tail section survivors, I will grind my teeth to nubs if we don’t get _some_ answers.

Did I start this speculation, or is there some basis for it? (I speculated that Anna Lucia was too strong of a character for a one-off, and that the BOP people would figure in the next season.)

> [@tripthicket](#):

> What happened to Sawyer?

I echo the earlier responses: it’s merely a flesh wound. But, how the hell did the pirates know to shoot the one guy on the raft that had a gun?

Jeez, isn’t he already in waters way over my head - how much further could he go?

> [@tripthicket](#):

My speculation: the wind will shift, and they will beach back on the Island.

Smart money is on “Yes”.

> [@tripthicket](#):
>
> Will Charlie start using again?

No way. He wanted the statuette of the Virgin Mary for the shrine he will soon be creating in the caves. 😃

> [@tripthicket](#):

> Is CFL going to go off the deep end and prove a real and unpredictable danger?

I don’t think the Marianas Trench is deep enough for where CFL may be headed…

> [@tripthicket](#):

> Is Sun’s father crazy enough to have his _own_ search party composed of deadly killers look for and _find_ the lostaways and/or Jin?

I find this unlikely…

Ooh, interesting thought. I could see this happening.

WAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTT!!! NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

Was anyone else getting the distinct vibe that Hurley was not, in fact, wanted on the plane? Everything was conspiring to keep him off. We’ve already established that he’s lucky at the expense of others. If he managed to thwart his luck and get on the plane anyway, maybe that’s a sign that he’ll be the one who manages to help everyone else.

Either way, the suspense is going to kill me. Is it next season yet?

Well, I’m going to be the one to say it: the Emperor isn’t wearing any clothes.

The season’s over and the writers apparently still don’t know what’s happening. Or if they do, they’re not telling. Were any of the big questions that have been raised this season answered in the finale? Nope.

I’m now mostly convinced that the writers are just winging it and have no clue where they’re going. Inventing mysteries is easy - the challenge is solving the mysteries. And there’s no evidence these guys are up to the challenge. Half of them are probably wishing the show would’ve bombed and been cancelled so they wouldn’t have to try and work their way out of the corner they’ve painted themselves into.

My prediction for next season? The hype will die out over the summer and next season the viewers will realize how hollow the show is. It’ll be _Twin Peaks_ all over again.

For whoever asked about how the Evil Boat People (EBP) knew to shoot the one guy on the raft with the gun, watch the first few moments after they meet up. In the celebrating, Sawyer turns around, lifts his arms, and Yahoos. As he does, the gun is clearly visible stuck in the back of his pants.
