RE: Luggage… My uncle was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines and he currently works for Gulfstream. He told me that there are nets every so often in the cargo hold that keeps the luggage from shifting during the flight. I just can’t remember if that was for the big Eastern jets or the little Gulfstreams. So it would make sense for some of the luggage to stay with the center section. Maybe. (I’m still thinking that there is no way that center section survived after losing the tail section, but that’s just me.) ---

[Spoiler]They’re going to end up dividing into two camps–one camp believes they can still be saved, the other does not and moves into some caves on the island. (If you saw my E! News Live segment on Wednesday, you know that some skinny fellas, aka skeletons, are already inhabiting those caves…) On Oct. 20, we’ll learn more about Jack and find out about his mother and why he was in Australia. There’s also a thief on the island–someone steals the last bottles of water. And Claire’s pregnancy gets complicated.[/Spoiler] ---

I watched the parts with Locke again. Despite not recognizing it as any brand I’m aware of, I do think the device on his bedside table was a ham radio. The microphone on top & the squeeling noise that stops when he shuts it off point that way. If he is a ham, should he be able to hel sayid with radio stuff? (tho he isn’t supoosed to know about the French transmission) I still think we don’t know for sure if he was paralyzed (despite him being amazed with his toes wiggling). I just find it odd that that no one said it outright. tho I suppose they may just be being politically correct in saying “your condition”. Brian ---

However he wound up chairbound, his limbs would have been exercised regularly as part of his treatment regimen. Retaining muscle tone aids circulation, reducing the risk of strokes, clots, thrombosis and gangrene. Re: luggage. We actually saw the hold section at the bottom of the fuselage. ---

Oh, random note… At the end of each show, after the credits, there’s a… I’m not sure what the term is… the production company gets a 2 second logo thing at the end… and it seems to be “Bad Robot” productions. ---

Okay. I can forgive the fact that the writers write ridiculous plots like sending two people, including a girl, out on a boar hunt when there’s plenty of he-men sitting around doing nothing but picking sand out of their asses. I can accept that Sayid would send Kate off with his prized tracking device so that SHE could climb a tree… in the middle of her boar hunt. But I can’t stand that the writers make the characters stupid beyond reason. Burning the fuselage was stupid for practical reasons,yes. It is made of metal – a useful material for creating cooking pots, weapons, tools, or even roofs on a hut. But, the most glaring reason they wouldn’t burn it is because it’s THE BIGGEST GIVEAWAY to any pilot who would pass overhead that there was a PLANE CRASH. And, pardon me for being too critical, but has NO ONE thought to write the words “SOS” in the sand!?! Or to burn fires at night that spell “SOS?” If a pilot did pass overhead and saw the fire, what in the world makes anyone think the pilot would know that they needed help? ARGH! ---

After rewatching I think I’m the only one who thinks Jack just grunts in the preview for next week instead of saying Dad! And as for the Austrailian chick, Emilie De Ravin used to star on the show Roswell where her American accent was so good I just assumed she was American. Just how Austrailian is she? ---

I agree that it may be short sided to burn the plane. Some people suggested that the bodies should have been removed and burned some other way. It makes sense except for the fact that bodies in crashed planes tend to be in many more pieces than they would show on the TV. It may also help the plot line to dispose of the big ol hardware store sitting there on the beach with the castaways. ---
