Which, actually, I guess he kinda is at the moment, but I thought that he would be the character who wasn’t actually on the plane. My bad. Clue stick: Um, Jack. When a women asks if you’re checking her out, and _clearly_ wants you to admit it, and you instead inform her you were actually thinking about that boring old logistics stuff, well. Just don’t be surprised when she gets all pissy at you and decides to ixnay your ansplay. I was kind of bummed when they split up, though. ---

I made some wrong assumptions, as well. My most off the mark assumption was that Sun was the young trophy wife of an older Korean shady businessman and Jin was the corporate protege who was assigned the job of finding Sun and bringing her back. He tracks her down in Australia and they’re on their way back to Korea. I thought that would explain Jin ordering Sun to button her sweater and the uncomfortable way Sun acted around Jin. Hey, it worked for me. Just to show you all that I don’t learn from my mistakes, I’ve got a far out theory. What if established relationships break down, and the former partners hook up with different partners? What if Sun took up with Michael? I’ll bet that would stir up some drama. ---

I refuse to believe it. He’s a _good_ guy. He’s just got to be! I’m guessing he was in the army but he deserted, because he didn’t believe in what he was doing. God, I absolutely love this show. At first, I had a _very_ wild theory that the characters were either back in time, or in a “Land that time forgot” situation, so that the tree-crunching critters were actually dinosaurs. I’ve dismissed that now, you can thank the polar bear for that. Something supernatural is going on, and Locke’s behaviour, especially in this latest episode, shows that _he knows something about the island_ . He’s just not telling anyone (except maybe for the young black kid). Only thing I’m worried about is the fact that each episode introduces a new mystery – I truly hope some creative person somewhere has the whole plot written out in full, with all mysteries explained. There are two ways (I can think of) that this show could turn dreadful: 1. It gets canceled, and a quickie resolution has to be pulled out of the creative teams’ collective posteriors. 2. Turns out near the end that the writers were just pulling the mystery elements out of nowhere, and they never had a clear way to tie everything up. Based on the quality so far, I fear #2 is hopefully unfounded. Fear #1, however, is something that can happen to even the best TV show ever… ---

That was before he saw The Monster. Then, later, he saw The Monster and subsequently told Jack that he had “looking into the eye of the island, and it was beautiful.” Clearly that indicates that he knows something, having seen the thing and lived to tell about it when no one else has, but I wouldn’t assume he knows any more than that. Of course, I could be wrong. Has The Monster killed anyone since the airplane pilot, that we know of? ---
