When Ethan and possibly-Bluebeard are talking, possibly-Bluebeard worries “What am I going to say to _him_”.
When Desmond first met Locke, he asks “Are you _him_”?
Significant? Or am I reading too much into a pronoun?

I thought the “him” in Desmond’s case was his replacement.

While I liked the episode in general, if ever again hear the term “my baby” said in a plaintive Australian accent, I might actually shoot my television. “Desperate New Mommy” shows make my head hurt.

I see a difference between wanting Claire to escape so she won’t be murdered for her baby and not wanting Sawyer to escape the _island_ and tell people what they’ve got going. There’s also the possibility that they’re seeing Alex as a host for the next generation, and supporting the killing of host mothers is not something she’d be happy to get behind.

I went thru exactly the same process. Zeke’s voice is very distinctive, but w/o the beard and scruffy clothes, I would’ve never recognized him. I did say to my Lost-mates, though, that maybe the beard was fake…

But really, what man with a brain (and he doesn’t look like a scarecrow) would say “I’m from Minnesota” to the two people with accents when they find him in the jungle? You usually identify your country first. And these days, it’s smarter to tell them you’re Canadian.

I would absolutely tell people I’m from Texas first, and emphasize that Bush is really from Connecticut and I’m part of the 40% of Texans who voted against him anyway, but Minnesotans may not think of their state as having a national identity the way Texans do.
Locke really shouldn’t go crashing dishes around where Henry can hear it, especially since that’s exactly the reaction he was going for. That was also a really girly little hissy fit.

Me too. She’s easy enough on the eyes, but the constant peril of Claire and her baby are too cliche.

Yeah, it really started getting to me last night.
Claire: Sun, can you watch my baby for a while?
Sun: A mother should not leave her baby.
Claire: What do you know about it? Are you a mother? Because I’ve been one for SEVERAL WEEKS NOW, and I learned a whole lot before then as A NAIVE 20-YEAR-OLD WAITRESS TRYING TO GIVE THE BABY AWAY.
Sun: I bow to your vast experience, but aren’t the baby’s only food sources attached to your chest? Should you really be taking those away from him?
Claire: AOHHH MY GOD! WOULD EVERYONE STOP TREATING ME LIKE I’M HYSTERICAL! I HAVE l337 PREGNANCY-INDUCED PLOT-CONVENIENT PSYCHIC ABILITIES!
Sun: Well, I guess I’ll find out more about that last part in the next new episode.
