Anyone find it weird that the Others have been extremely skilled woodsmen in most other episodes yet this time they did such a crappy job of following the Losties they were plainly visible across the creek? ---

Now how is Eko so sure that not pushing the button means they all die? What about the “?” hatch (the Pearl) convinced Eko when it convinced John exactly the opposite? ---

Oh my Lord he’s going to _blow them up_! I think it’s neat (and very convenient) that they can drop those bulkheads when they want. They’ll be using that later, I’m sure. And now we have the answer to “how’d they make the UV map?” Hmmm. The Hatch Button-pushers call them “hostiles”. So the button-pushers aren’t Dharma? ---

They army dude (Inman?)v just lamented about joining the Dharma Initiative in the last flashback. Obviously, our initial premise that the Others were “leftovers” from The Dharma Initiative may be wrong. They could have been there before, or came after, Dharma. Or perhaps they were the original Dharmians, and Inman and his former parter who blew his head off were recruited later. ---

Wait a minute. Desert Storm was '91. 15 years ago. Clancy presumably didn’t run off to the Dharma initiative immediately after the war, so, figure 14 years, max. Danielle has been on the island 16 years though. Odd. ---

So was that just a stone wall behind The Others hatch? And what were they hit with? They use a “electricity” sound effect, but those darts were way to small to really be able to give off any kind of big shock. ---
