Yeah, but she never mentioned that her husband is an evil lawyer (of course, so is Jin…). Sorry, I’ll stop referencing ‘Angel’ now.
Well, that episode was - surprise! - short on answers. And for the second time this season, I feel the backstory gave us nothing. Gee, he felt alienated from his friends after winning a bajillion dollars. Bleh.
I find myself way more interested in the tailsection folks than in our regular gang, probably because they seem to be actually doing something.
At least Sayid is still investigating.

Heh. Here I was wondering, “When did she turn into my sister?” Oh, and allow me to be one of the first to say: “GRRRRR!” Information, people! This is why I stopped watching The X-Files! Hurley didn’t even get to be that funny. At least next week’s episode looks like it will be good.

Isn’t that actor the same guy who played Mike Seaver’s principal on “Growing Pains” about 150 years ago?

[Sam Anderson](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0027402/) did indeed play Mr. Dewitt on Growing Pains. And yes, it was 150 years ago.
After a long and varied career, he will probably be most remembered for playing another Principal, the one who slept with Forrest Gump’s mom.

See, I had exactly the opposite reaction to this episode. I loved it. I’m glad to see the flashbacks are giving us some insight into other aspects of the characters. After episodes about Jack trying to save everybody or Michael feeling bad for losing Walt, we learn stuff about Hurley that I don’t think they touched on before. His fear of change, his need to be liked. And if he felt alienated from his friends because of his lottery win, I can’t remember them bringing it up before.
Plus a more thoughtful exploration of the hatch and meeting the tail survivors. Good episode for me.

I’m tired, so maybe I’m just cranky, but even I was annoyed with the lack of plot advancement in this episode. And in general I’m loving the pace things are coming at.
Hell, we didn’t even get to see how things changed for Hurley, just his fear that they would. And his reaction here was way over the top. As was Charley’s.
Grow up. Both of you.
I need a nap.

This week’s episode was good.
Am I the only one who doesn’t really care about getting answers? They’re still developing characters, ffs! I am perfectly happy with the way the show is going right now. Of course, if this continues into the third, fourth, fifth season, I might not feel the same way. For now though, it’s still early.

Great episode. Some new data re the existing questions, and which bring up some new questions. Some great lines.
“Falling down is not exercise!”
Looks like we found another station in the Dharma Project.
I predict next week will be huge.
Random observation on my part:
Both the Other boat captain and Gerald DeGroot have beards…
Also, do CFL’s timeline and story fit in with her possibly being a part of Dharma?
