Hell the Marshalls wouldn’t let that one agent spend all his time on this one case let alone use dozens. They probably have fewer loking for Whitey Bulger. ---

[/QUOTE] And not in a good way. 😉 Anyway, as ridiculous as the FBI thing was, perhaps we could explain it away somewhat by assuming they’d recently gotten some information that Kate was in the area, or appeared to be heading that way, so they set up an intense stakeout for a week or so. But then again, didn’t her mom say two agents were following her all the time? Oh well. FWIW, I think you can collect on life insurance if the person is murdered, as long as you aren’t responsible. So I’d bet the insurance company would have bent over backwards to implicate Kate’s mom to avoid paying out - another good reason to be pissed at Kate, I suppose. Am I the only one who watched Sawyer with the fish and thought, “Man, he clearly hasn’t seen _Office Space_.” ---

The only explanation I can think of with all the FBI agents is that Kate’s was doing lots and lots of stuff that got their attention between killing Dad and trying to return home. Stuff they have not revealed yet. ---

What if it’s not really the FBI? What if Kate’s stepdad was DHARMA and those were DHARMA agents posing as FBI and they just really wanted to take her to the island to punish her for killing one of their guys (Hanso? 🙂 ) or they just needed a replacement for him so they needed to strap her to a “marshall” in order to get her on the plane? Hmm? ---

When Lock was talking to Kate and saying good buy he mentions something. He said he made a good case for her. Said all sorts of nice things about her. Then he said they told him what she had done His response.was “Lets just they they aren’t bug on forgiveness” or something similar. I feel led to believe that she intact did do something to piss the others of on and or off the island. Just killing her dad or robbing a bank would mean little or nothing to the others and forgiveness would not be necessary. ---

Kate has often been presented as being pretty physically capable in a fight, but Juliet reacted like a movie ninja – ducking under the swinging pool cue and flipping Kate over onto her back hard enough to render her immobile for a while. How did a fertility doctor become such a badass? (She also decked Jack with one punch.) Do all the Others’ recruits get martial arts and weapons training? On the other hand, sometimes they seem no more capable than average people. Do the writers actually have a clear idea about this, or do they just make up whatever is dramatically convenient?
