I did the same sort of [thing](http://goodcomics.com/sdmb/trailerend-city_ps.jpg) in PhotoShop, and tried to correct it’s skew and did some sharpening and other crap.

Your right, it does look city-scape like, but it looks like something happened to it. Something bad.

But then again, it could be because of the imposition on top of the murky, foreboding waters. But if those are buildings, they still look weird… especially the one on the far right. What a weird shape for a building. But who knows how much distortion they put on the image in photoshop to make it look wavy.

After all, I think we’re making shapes outta clouds here… nothing to see… move on…
It looks weird because those buildings were skewed, reflected, with a wave going through them. Then there was a compressed screen grab that you distorted some more. In the moving images, they’re undeniably buildings being reflected. I already posted this, but here’s another directly from promo material:

I wouldn’t say those are “shapes-outta-clouds”. They’re buildings. A reflected cityscape.

Still nothing to see or worth speculating about. I think it just shows they’re returning to civilization. Which we already know. no big secret or mystery there.

The big question I’m wondering about, if Ben DOES have a spy on the boat (Michael or not), how is this spy communicating huge amounts of information to Ben?

Telepathically, through Jacob, of course! 🙂

I didn’t mention it. But if you are referring to the fellow on the golf course, I recall that the last name was something like “Livieu,” “Milieu.” or something similar and French-sounding. Can someone confirm?

Also…why was Harold Perrineau’s name in the opening credits? I do not recall seeing Michael at any point during this episode.

I’m assuming that they are just running interference for when Michael does show up again - it’s always disappointing to be spoiled by an actor’s name in the credits. If he’s there every week when he does appear in the show it will be a surprise.

HELP - I had to leave during the show so I missed some stuff. Left when they found Hurley in a closet (!was that explained?) and came back when Sayid and Charlotte - or irritating English Accent lady as I call her - did. (Why did Kate stay? What happened to Miles?). Can you guys help me out with these missing pieces? I know I can watch the show later at the ABC site but I want my “Lost” fix NOW. thanks

and “The Economist” … who? why important? any clues, speculation?
What does Naomi’s bracelet say? I can’t quite make it out in the picture linked above.

" ----- always be with you RG"

I would assume the “-----” is “I will” but it doesn’t _look_ like “I will” in the picture.

Anyway, what if Naomi and Sayid’s girl are operatives of a similar sort for the same organization and this is a bracelet such operatives wear to remind them that they are being watched by their superiors.

Or okay, more probably, Sayid gave her the bracelet. (Because otherwise it seems like he would have noticed it earlier and thereby known that the lady knew more than she was letting on.)

-FrL-
To me, it looks like “N, I’ll always be with you. R.G.” - so I don’t see how Sayid could have given it to his girlfriend? She would be all, “Who the hell is N.? And why are you using the initials R.G.?” So either way, it doesn’t make sense.

I concur 100%. “shapes outta clouds” was a metaphor meaning: if you see anything other than a cityscape, you’re overanylizing it too much.

Hence my verdict: nothing to see here.

Sorry, but I missed the earlier post showing the far more clear skyline.

It’s a contract thing. He’s been contracted for X episodes in a season, but because he’s a “regular” he’ll be in the credits for the entire season.

This kind of question came up **often** in Babylon 5 discussions. From what I can recall, they had like 3 tiers of regulars on their shows. People who were in every episode in a 22 episode season, people who were in 16, and those who were in 12. All three groups appeared in the regular “starring” credits at the beginning of the show.

The numbers were made up, but the general ideas apply all over.

Something that just occurred to me while reading the discussion of how Ben communicates with his person on the freighter.

Charlotte knows that Ben has a mole on the freighter and that he knows everything about them. Why didn’t she mention this to either Daniel or Frank? Does Lost Information Sharing Apathy (LISA) set in that fast?
