**Read this post carefully, please.** OK, so let me explain where we are. We have several things to look at now. **Night Zero has officially begun** 1. PMs are going out over the next couple of hours. 2. PMs are going out in a random order. Read nothing into who responds first. 3. Every role was assigned randomly, using [random.org](http://random.org). 4. You must confirm you have received your Role PM. You may do that in two ways. \*\*- You may post in this thread, saying “I got my role PM and am checking in.” - You may PM me directly saying, “I got my role PM and am checking in.”\*\* 1. **I am hoping everyone checks in with me in the next 12 hours or so. I currently have Day One scheduled to begin on Friday, June 12 at Noon Eastern Daylight Savings Time.** **Mahaloth, what can we do and what can’t we do during Night Zero? What is Night Zero?** Good Question. Night Zero is a little part of the game where we begin without really getting too far into it. You can discuss stuff, but people are still getting their roles and meeting and greeting at this point. Day One, which is coming soon, is when the real fun begins. 🙂 **You MAY:** 1. Check in once you get your role PM. 2. Discuss any strategy decisions, keeping in mind some people may not have their roles yet. 3. Ask gameplay questions to me or to others and help out any newer players with gameplay mechanics(we have a few newer players, a few slightly experienced players, and a few veterans). Newer players, be aware the game is on at this point, so don’t trust everybody or anybody. 4. Chill out and prepare yourself for Day One. **You MAY NOT:** 1. Vote 2. Use ANY Night Powers at all. None. Night Zero is 100% uneventful in terms of our “story”. ---

:sigh: Two players do not have their Private Messages turned on and there is no email listed in their profile, at least not that I can see. Read NOTHING into these players status. I sent every PM and collected these whom I could not contact as I went. They have equal chance to be scum or town as everyone else. “I got my role PM and am checking in.” Are we lynching the lurker on Day 1? Also also, any mafia veterans want to outline the probable numbers of town vs. scum? My guess would be about 5 scum, but I only have lurking on a couple threads to base that on. ---

5 scum with 17 total players and minimal power roles is high. 4 is more likely, and 3 isn’t out of the question. I really hate lynch the lurker. It doesn’t give you any information. Especially Day 1. If someone isn’t playing, we can just request a sub. ---

As I said last game, I think only town lurkers ever get lynched on day 1, the scum are too motivated to get their dragging teammates into the game. Though there was Captain Pinkles I suppose :-P. ---

I thought the point of Lynch the Lurker was, basically, to get everyone to at least put SOMETHING on the record in turn 1. Plus, not much to go on assuming no scum makes an egregious blunder. ---

I think subs are better then LYLO on Day one because we gain no information from the kill and that basically leaves us with the equivalent of a Night start. But I think once people develop a pattern of lurking and only posting the minimum they are probably power roles or scum. Since the scum are hunting power roles if they aren’t night killed it probably means that they are scum lying low. that being said I hate day one because all we’re doing is waiting for a screw up. ---
