I may well have blown the money at 17, but at 19 it just so happened all my friends were pretty smart, thrifty types who would have ganged up on me to prevent me doing something stupid. Of course, we weren’t into drugs either. Most of us were into martial arts, so I suppose I’d have bought a nice big deluxe dojo or something, but not million dollar one.
See, I’ll never understand this mentality at all. I mean, I quite enjoy my job, but there are countless things I would rather be doing with my time if I didn’t have to earn money, and had the ready cash to go and do them.
The alternative to working is not sitting on the sofa watching daytime TV.
