"Love" in action and victims of ex-gay brainwashing

Uh, yeah, you did.

Sugarplum, if that’s your version of “politeness”, you must really be a hysterical, screaming ninny when you’re pissed off. At any rate, for you to imply that I have something against you is actually rather grandiose; I’ve never particularly thought about you before - if I’ve said something snarky, well, you probably deserved it at the time, and were you less childish, you’d probably have the capacity to let bygones be bygones (you ain’t no stranger to it yourself, even if yours is short on elegance.) Now, of course, I’ve come to the conclusion that you’re a moron and probably mentally disturbed. But before your little episode here, I had no ill will towards you at all.

That didn’t even make sense. You can have a do-over if you like; I understand that the witless occasionally need a handicap when playing with their superiors.

They didn’t feel that warm to me. :frowning:

Well, we can only let history decide that, can’t we?

P.S.: Pat Buchanan is sooo the bottom.

Indeed.

Huh? What?

Drop the attitude, babe. I’m not sure if you’ve got some particular paranoia towards me and Miller or if something spiny just crawled up your ass and died, but you can let go of the persecution complex. I’m not sure exactly what situation you’re perceiving amongst “gay posters”, but I assure you it’s fantasy. I, for one, have never said a bad word about gobear and it certainly didn’t seem like anyone else did either. Regardless, I doubt he needs you as his knight in shining sequins.

Anyway, sweetheart, what I posted was just a suggestion that a Liberal-thread not start, since there’s already one in progress. That couldn’t possibly be construed as some sort of insult to you, so drop the whiny little bitch routine. It was unnecessary for you to respond by claiming that my posts lack substance. A quick read through the thread will disabuse you of that notion. I see insults flung hither and yon, one-liners, and an attempt to drag the whole thread down to the level of brickbacon and yourself.

P.S.: Miller and I have tangled before, and we weren’t even all that nice about it. If you think he’s “on my team”, I sincerely doubt that’s the case. For one, I don’t think he plays silly games like that, and two, it just ain’t what history would suggest. If you think he agrees with me a lot, perhaps I just often post things he agrees with. It’s not a conspiracy, sweetheart.

P.P.S.: What’s with the whining about typing? The fact that your posts are short and poorly typed most likely detracts from their substance, not the other way around.

Wow. All that, and all I did was suggest his posts in this thread lacked content. Wonder what would have happened if I’d actually insulted him? His head might have popped.

WELL FUCK YOU TOO!

Don’t you people ever go outside or have any other human contact? I didn’t disrespect anybody who didn’t disrespect me first. Either way, the fact that you are now turning on each other, and whining about hurt feelings is fucking pathetic. I only wish I could bring myself to care enough about you to take joy in your histrionics.

Even warmer regards,

Brick

Pretty much a slam-dunk there, pally. Way to demonstrate his point.

I promised myself that I wouldn’t respond to brickbacon’s inanity. Really I did. But no one called him on this, and I just can’t stand it.

I get that we’re hung up on a definition of torture.

But to say (repeatedly!) that imprisoning a 16-year-old young man against his will is okay (and specifically not evil) and then to go on to say that torturing animals would be considered evil…

Man, I agree with the earlier opinions. You’ve got neurological issues, brickbacon.

By the way, not that it matters, but brickbacon, are you gay? I can’t tell. And of course, we can’t believe you, as you’ve so generously pointed out that anyone declaring their sexuality is not to be believed, but I was wondering.

Wait, on second thought, I don’t want to know. If you are gay, I’ll be sad. Very sad.

To get back (somewhat) to the OP, does anyone have a definite date that Zach went in, so that we may have an idea of when to expect that he’s been released?

Against my better judgement I decided to see what you’d written in reponse. Congratulations. You lived down to my expectations. How pathetic.

Oh… Excalibre:

PS: My ‘polite’ remarks earlier are as fucking polite as you deserve. You started jumping down my throat when I returned. At least I give people the benefit of the doubt.

HA!

You guys are weird.

His blog states that “The program starts June 6 and is until either the 17th or the 20th.” So this is his last week, possibly including the coming weekend.

I hope he’s doing okay. My heart goes out to this kid. (I know, I know. He’s a young man, but I’m kind of in Mom Mode. How anybody could so mistreat another human being, much less their own child…) At least he’s got a lot of support waiting for him outside.

Are you seriously trying to portray Gobear as some martyr who left because he was “turned on” by the other gay people? He got more flak for criticizing christians than he deserved, but your description of the situation is inaccurate.

Excalibre, please cut back a little on psychoanalyzing other posters. For your own sake, if nothing else; it makes it harder to take you seriously.
I’m not good on logic, but doesn’t the premise of LIA conflict with what they’re doing to this kid? They say there’s no homosexuality, only behaviour, so they really shouldn’t do anything to this kid unless he’s been fucking other guys, right? And even then the only thing they should concern themselves with is making him stop doing that then trying to work on him psychologically, right?

I liked it better when he was called Librarian, or something.

No, see, gay people are like Highlanders, locked forever in an uneasy truce while waiting for any sign of weakness to turn on their compatriots because there can be only one. Even my own proclivities for chest hair and testicles caused me to go against kind and speak out vehemently in defense of religious tolerance, driving poor gobear away.

One of the many reasons I have stopped going to church is this.

Most churches, to some extent or another, tend to examine your life to see if there are any ‘impurities’, anything not keeping to the religion. The thing is – it’s usually is informal, something that happens naturally. And most churches, in keeping with what Jesus said about grace, and Paul’s ideas on “weaker and stronger brothers”, usually leave grey issues to between that person and God.

Putting out a list, saying what is sinful, what is not, and worse of all, restricting freedom? That’s 100% unchristian. Christanity seems to be changes from the inside-out, not the traditional way of outside-in.

I really wish something can be done.

Alas, I was compelled by the Principle of non-Cistercian.

I wonder…at this anti-gay camp, do they not have on the menu hot dog in a bun?

Just wondering

I did not say that is why he left, nor was I trying to portray gobear as a martyr.

In criticizing Excalibre(not the sharpest knife in the drawer), you’ve also joined him in putting things into my mouth that I did not say.

Nah. They just slip the kids the bare weiner with a little catsup(ketchup is just so gay) squirted on.

You mean he’s actually read a book that WASN’T Ayn Rand?

Or are you suggesting he was some sort of librarian for the Libertarian party(not a group I think of as having parties)?

Verily, there can BE only one [cheesy lightning bolt effects]
