> Mmm does being in love with the person we are coupling with ‘as one’ constitute marriage as in wedded?

If it does, I want to see what the family tree with marriage links looks like after an orgy. Would be a fascinating graph theory problem.
I’d say that links between people are more psychological then physical. I’d hate to think that rape creates any kind of wedded relationship, for instance.

> When you say “outside of traditional marriage” do you mean:
>
> 1. You’re married, and you’re having sex with someone else. “Outside”, in this case, means breaking marriage vows.
> 2. You and your sexual partner _are_ a couple but unmarried to each other. “Outside”, in this case, means “before”.
> 3. Either/or. Sex with someone who’s not your spouse, no matter what

And, also, as many who talk about “traditional marriage” believe that it can only be between a man and a woman:

1. Sex with someone who is the same sex as you are, even if you are a committed couple and in love.

How does rape align with the “being in love” part?

Well, one can be in love and the other does not reciprocate…
As for the OP,
it depends of your own set of morality. So different people will have different answers, and different cultures will have different point of view…

> A marry-your-rapist law, marry-the-rapist law, or rape-marriage law is a rule of rape law in a jurisdiction under which a man who commits rape, sexual assault, statutory rape, abduction or other similar act is exonerated if he marries his female victim, or in some jurisdictions at least offers to marry her. The "marry-your-rapist" law is a legal way for the accused to avoid prosecution or punishment.

We use the term today “beast with two backs” as a description of sexual intercourse, but it’s not literal. There are two backs because there are two beasts; they’re just really, really close.

I expect it’s the same for the Biblical usage.

It all seems to be punishing the victim. That’d be right!

Punishing description. Anyway, I think Biblically the ‘two become one’ idea goes as deep as the spirit in each person.

Yes it’s terrible I think. Another thought…The babies that are born to two people through rape or sex without love are I think susceptible to being narcissistic. A psychologist I know has theorized that all gay people (cisgender) are narcissists, but not all narcissists are gay. Interesting.

And unsupported by an evidence, as far as I can see. Does she have any other “interesting” ideas?

Maybe all humans that are attracted to other humans are suffering from narcissism.
