Disclaimer: I’ve never read Lovecraft, just going off his internet presence. anyhow, here goes… (Hamilton is New Zealand’s fourth city. For a while it had a much derided slogan _Hamilton, city of the future_, these days called the 'tron, or H-town) Hamilton, precinct of a future of unthinking automations unhesitatingly tearing into the denizens of pathetic hovels as the heavens above shine indifferently, a beacon of the final migration of weary elders whereupon completion of their quest, their pitiable shells of vitality crumble to permit tentacles of misshapen, alien Taniwha of the cretaceous to snatch their consciousness and carry them, submersed helplessly, to drown a screaming death in the oceanic sludge of the abyssal plain. Right. Back to work… ---
