Water pressure has been low in the house for about an hour and a half. I walked around the house and did not hear or see any leaking water. Temperature is 32ºF, but it hasn’t been there long. (It’s been in the mid-40s today.) Any idea what the problem may be? The water district offices are closed, and they have no emergency number. I did leave VM and sent an email. I assume there is a system problem somewhere, and it’s not just my house. But I’ve no way of knowing. This is the first time this has happened. Any ideas what the problem may be? ---

Knock on some doors in the neighbourhood and see if they have the issue too. ---

What? _Talk_ to neighbours? :eek: I’m from L.A.! Actually, pressure seems to be back to normal. Or it was, shortly after I posted. The water is discoloured, though. ---

I’ll bet there was some hydrant flushing happening. ---

Is it low everywhere in the house, or just from one specific faucet? When a mixing valve starts to go bad, it can look like low water pressure. ---

Turns out, someone crashed into a hydrant.
