Sadly print Encyclopedias are even more obsolete nowadays than LPs
So “Made loud to be played loud.” has become “Made blank to be played, not!”
My first Christmas present after I bought my turntable was Charlie Brown’s Christmas (I told my kid “Thanks. It really IS the only Christmas album.”)
It came in peppermint swirl vinyl, so I sometimes leave that on the turntable as the “Display Copy”.
I found mine from high school! Over 50 years old and the fluid still works!
(Sorry for the second notification ping if you have that activated)
Forgot to mention this last time but I think this is less a sign that you’re not supposed to play/enjoy the vinyl album and more just “We know you might want to listen to this on the go so here’s a digital copy to enjoy our music when NOT parked in your living room”.
After about 2008 or so, it was pretty common for me to get a CD that came with a free digital copy.
