There’s been some comic-strip time progression in Luanne, maybe about 4-6 years since the strip started. Luann is now a senior, isn’t as chunky as she was in junior high, and got her hair straightened. Her brother Brad graduated high school, buzz-cut his hair and got a job as a firefighter which made him give up being a couch potato. ---

I’m worried they’re going to turn out like Amos and Edda in 9 Chickweed Lane. As they circled around each other for years and years, I grumbled at the strip in frustration, “for the love of God, would you two please just have sex!?” Now I find myself cringing and griping, “for the love of God, would you two please stop having sex!?” ---
