Your friend received prednisone for her lupus because prednisone often works very well in lupus. And while prednisone does have many side effects, increased religious fervor is not among them. I’d be surprised if you could find a patient with significant lupus that had never taken prednisone (or similar drugs). Therefore, please refrain from offering this type of quasi-medical advice. ---

I have been extremly sick for over a year now, with a few good weeks. No diagnosous yet. I feel on the verge of giving up a lot lately. Push that medical system until they stop putting you off. I have driven hundreds of miles to new clinics, for emergency room treatment, and evaluation, because the doctors can’t see me for two months. Look into Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Myasthenia Gravis [http://www.myasthenia.org/](http://www.myasthenia.org/) , Polymyositis, Dermatomyositis, [http://www.myositis.org/](http://www.myositis.org/), Thyroid, HIV, Hepatitis, Lymes. You feel like shit, but you have to do the pushing, because it’s your health. There are even more obscure conditions, but those are where you should start, and have someone kick your ex-doctor in the ass for you. The different myositis seem to fit better than Lupus. ---

I have been proved not to have any of the above conditions. I currently am in pain usually, but without Predenesone I wouldn’t even be walking around. Predenesone is a drug with bad side effects, but when prescribed the benifits outway the side effects. I have been looking for over a year now for what ails me, and I just found a new led that would not contradict any tests done so far. Wish me luck here.
