That’s just the way it strikes me, and I’m ready to accept that others don’t have that overtone attached. Perhaps “observer” is a bit less tainted. Maybe even “reader” is still less negatively biased. But in the spirit of the OP, I had hoped to use the term as a measure of “minimal posting at SDMB” without the overtones producing a negative bias. It’s just that the term “lurker” has become fairly common here to indicate “non-posters.” I don’t mean to offend or to express any value judgments with my use of the term, in spite of my willingness to admit the “naughty” overtone it may carry. ---

Oh I’m sorry - I didn’t mean it quite like that. I meant more in the way a word repeated over and over starts to lose its meaning and just sound like gibberish, and in this case, to me and my dirty mind, it’s started sounding like kinda sexual gibberish. But ya know? It really probably is just me… ---

**swanky\_glue** , I like the spirit of your latest post. Here’s a little challenge for you: right now, whatever it is on your mind besides this thread, go immediately to MPSIMS main forum page and click on “New Thread” and post something about your idea or thought or frame of mind or whatever you want to call it. It will elevate your sense of self and belonging more than any other action you can take. Getting replies will be icing on the cake, but stepping out with a thread of your own (I haven’t even checked to see if you have already done this) can give you a real thrill. I’d be willing to bet those folks you admire will respond to you if your thread is provocative, funny, or weird. And MPSIMS is just the place for that sort of thing. ---
