Well damn! Hey folks, I really did want to make this, but my best friend’s dad just died and the memorial and wake are this Saturday. He was a dad I grew up with - I’m still not quite believing he’s gone. In the way that I instinctively approach things, I immediately thought of how I could squeeze 'em both in. But no. I need to give Charlie, Dianne and the daughters a big chunk of time - all the time they need. So, I’ll see y’all again, _soon_. Next year. I was looking forward to meeting some new ones ( **Lynn** , _et al_), and I’ll miss seein’ **Z** , **Jim** , **Grace** , **Troy** , **purrp** … ah, heck, I can’t list all of y’all - Happy Holidays!!! ---

we have cranium. If you bought it just for the party, can you return it? also a note for last minute shoppers: There is a central market on the corner of Hulen and 30. There is also a minyards on Hulen and Camp bowie. and about the white elephant: it is stuff we have around the house or do we go out and buy something? ---

I didn’t have anything around the house so I bought something. I also bought Cranium so we could play it, but I intend to play it with other friends so I’ll just keep it. Besides, we already opened the box and read through the instructions and opened all the packets. 🙂 ---

Babs - we really haven’t done a good job with the rules on the white elephant, have we? We have generally brought new stuff of the silly variety for our exchanges, but I think something around the house of said silly variety will work! ---

Hey, I finally got a new ISP, and I’m back online! 🙂 . . . But I can’t make the party. ☹ The IFGS crew in Oklahoma is losing their land site this month, and they lose any props that aren’t removed before the end of the year. Thanks again to Bad News Baboon and Good New Gorilla for hosting the holiday party. I think everyone had a wonderful time. You can always tell it’s a good party when no one wants to leave. I hope we didn’t over-stay our welcome or leave the house in really bad shape. Lynn, I’m sorry you had to leave early. It was great seeing you again. I don’t think I’ve seen you at a dopefest in a couple of years. I’m sorry I had to leave early too, but I looked at my toes and they were starting to turn black, which means that I needed to elevate my feet above my heart. This is NOT something I wanted to do in someone else’s house. I had a great time seeing all of you, and it was a great party. Thanks to the News Apes for hosting it. I want the recipe for that cranberry-cherry relish, please! ---

I had a really good time as always. I have the cowboys and indians set up on the table. We played with the microscope. It worked great once I figured out which was the right end to look into.
