Just a little note to tell you that Lynn Bodoni got through the surgery fine and is resting comfortably (and all doped up) at the hospital. Barring complications, she’ll be able to go home Friday, and we hope to see her back with us within a few weeks. She’s allergic to flowers and can’t have chocolate right now, so hold off on any tributes or love offerings until she gets back, ok? Or . . . just send 'em to me and I’ll make sure she gets 'em. Especially the dark chocolate. That’s right, send me all the chocolate. . . your humble TubaDiva ---

Get out of there! Get out of there now! Hospitals are a conspiracy! What is an important part of recovery? Rest! What will you never get in a hospital? OTOH What _will_ you get in a hospital? Your fingers will become pincushions from the blood test every 4 hours. What happened to your blood that will make it different from the last 4 hours? And then your insurance company will “bargain” them for better rates. YOU try to bargain with a hospital for better rates and see what happens! And by the time the hospital decides the insurance won’t pay for X procedures it’s been 8 months and out of the clear blue sky you’ll get a letter that slaps you in the face with “We’ve tried everything else, so if you don’t answer this letter we’re turning your account over to Muammar Qaddafi.” This _is_ the BBQ Pit, ain’t it? ---

Lynn didn’t want y’all fussing over her or worrying about her and thought it would be better to just go get this done. I was under the impression that she had made a posting to the board about being gone for a litle bit, but the board is acting up again and I can’t find it. Without being clinical or violating her privacy, I can tell you it was not for cosmetic reasons, that she’s fine and that she’ll be back with us in a few weeks. your humble TubaDiva ---

Seriously, I sort of hijacked a thread in MPSIMS to make a little note that I was going into surgery. The doc thought that I had ovarian cancer and fibroids. Turns out that I just had fibroids and a “suspicious” looking ovary. I had the uterus and both ovaries removed. In other words, I got spayed. Now I sympathize with my cats. I’m glad I had it done, but I’m ready to heal up now. Any second now. You won’t be seeing much of me, because it’s not really good for me to sit in one position for long periods of time. It’s not at all comfortable, either. I’m finding that watching TV takes up most of my mental resources right now. Can’t play my video games, can’t really read anything more complicated than my Furby instruction manual…I might go crazy. Did I mention that my husband is doing the cooking and cleaning for now? At least there’s THAT bright spot. Oh, and I don’t go to chat. I didn’t even tell Opal about this, just the staff. Lynn Too woozy for a sig ---
