Pretty self-explanitory- I recently got a recording of said song, and I’m wondering- it’s really fun to listen to, but what does it mean? (The song, not just the title.)

Are you talking about the Juanes song? If you are, the title is (roughly translated) I ask God. I’ll translate the rest of the song for you if that is the one.

That is, indeed, the one!

Ok, here is an attempt at translating it.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional translator, I’ll just play one on this thread.

I’ll translate the begining of the song because I don’t want to infringe on the copyright. You can find the rest of the song [http://www.letssingit.com/juanes-g668b.html](http://www.letssingit.com/?%5Burl)]here.
For the days I have left and the nights that have not come I pray (in context It changes to I pray) to God

For the sons of my sons and the sons of your sons I pray to God

That my country will not spill so much blood and that my people will rise I pray to God
That my soul will not rest when it involves loving you my love I pray to God (Trust me, it is more romantic in Spanish)

One more second of life to give you and my whole heart to give you.

One more second of life to give to you and at your side I can always stay

_Un segundo más de vida yo a Dios le pido_
One more second of life I ask of God

_Y que si me muero sea de amor_
and If I die it will be of love

_y si me enamoro sea de vos_
and if I fall in love it will be with you

and that of your voice will be this heart, everyday I pray to God

_Y que si me muero sea de amor_
and if I die it will be of love

_y si me enamoro sea de vos_
and if I fall in love it will be with you

and that of your voice will be this heart, everyday I pray to God

_A Dios le pido_
I ask God
