Well, all 5 loads of laundry are completed (still have to fold/hang’em up). Premier league soccer watched and lunch consumed, so all-in-all a good afternoon…if you don’t mind a sudden tunderboomer coming out of nowhere and dropping about an inch of rain in 30 minutes (skies are clear now). **herald** , them S. Georgia boys get hongry now, y’know… **Sari** , go right ahead and rant…don’t let it build up. And hope the prices for the work are reasonable. **swampy** , not sure our Golden Corral is open for walk-in/sit-down business yet. Need to check, I’m rather fond of their pot roast. OK, need to get about sorting the clothes and checking the mail. All y’all take care. ---

Spent way too long on the phone with my sister, but she needs to talk, and I love her dearly. Then my neighbor, who’s also a good friend, called with a crisis, so I spent time calming her down. I feel like Lucy in her “Psychiatric Help” booth, except I’m not worth 5¢. My neighbor said she’d drive to Walgreen’s to pick up my prescription when I need it refilled, so I didn’t call Walgreen’s to ask about delivery. **MetalMouse** , I was happily reading along about your laundry, so when I hit “tunderboomers,” I read it as “thunder bloomers.” Now _there’s_ an innovative idea. ---

Somebody misplaced my water jug while I was doing sort, so it was a sucky shift. Although not quite as bad as unloading a 53’ with a door that had no fan. The rain stopped before I had to get the dogs. They got put in with the big dogs today and both of them are worn out. I called my insurance company and the bad news is, they are still paying for telemedical visits. Although I’ll be happy about it the next time I need to drive down to the armpit. I also got another email from them and this has been added to the list _ **4. Ask everyone you might have contact with what they have been doing and where have they been over the last 2 weeks.** _ Obviously, who ever came up with that idea doesn’t know the kind of smartasses people that I know. ---

**Mooooooom** , we had some loud thunderboomers around bedtime last night too. Yay for hot water **shoe**! I had to go into Nashville this afternoon to follow up on one of the doctor’s appointments from last week. It poured buckets on the way in to the point of stopping traffic on I24 and sprinkled on the way home. I think it’s because I watered the plants Sunday. 😛 Stay safe and healthy y’all! ---

My debit card has had a workout lately. First $350 for a new (to us) dryer, and then yesterday I went out and bought a new microwave ($79) and a new lawn mower ($250) Whew! I sure hope nothing else breaks around here. I almost busted my head today. Ran into a limb of the dogwood tree trying to mow underneath it. Evening all. **Swampy’s** note about Golden Corral made me drive over that way once all the laundry was folded and put away, but they’re closed down completely, so ended up with my monthly 5 Guys meal. Rain hasn’t returned, but it’s around the area, so we might get some more. **Bumba** , yeah, branches are unforgiving. I still have a small scar on my skull where I was running a end sweep and looked back at the wrong time. **nellie** , thunder bloomers are easy. All you need is a 19th century undergarment and a pot of baked beans… **BBB** , congrats on the copy and paste. **Sari** , they’re probably trying ‘tracing’, but have no idea or staffing on how to do it. **MG** , vulgar was originally defined as “characteristic of or belonging to the masses.” I think we here qualify for that. **Nut** , my apologies, England is rather developed these days. On the plus side: DH took out the garbage for the first time I can remember since he broke his leg last September. On the minus side, some idiot decided pulling a gun on police and continuing to threaten them was a good idea. This resulted in a Darwin Award. Protests are planned tomorrow evening, which if recent history is anything to go on, will devolve into rioting and looting. Thankfully, this is not near our home or either irkplace, and the commute home can be arranged to avoid the area. Still, we don’t need more of that crap. Very tired, not in a good emotional place. ---

Never been a huge fan of Golden Corral, or their predecessor, JJ North’s. The ones I tried out here were pretty much steam trays full of sticky starchy stuff being gobbled up by Rascal-riding people resembling Augustus Gloop. Hopefully **swampy’s** neighborhood is more upscale. There are a few bright spots on their menu - last time we went, **PWAISDN’s** eyes lit up when he saw they had horchata. We really liked Sweet Tomatoes, aka Souplantation, but the corporation went out of business a couple months ago. Figures that the really nice salad bar with fresh made soups and breads would go away and the cheap carbs and cheaper meats survived. 😭 The idea of going into a restaurant is so far back and almost foreign now. Most of this state is order by phone or online and take-out only. In other news, I’m getting really annoyed with UPS. Ordered something that shipped out of Texas. Two days later, it was at one of the regional UPS sort centers, and from there, tracking said out for delivery. Nothing showed up except an email with a new expected date. Nothing showed up on the new date. Now tracking says “exception” and that they’ll try again tomorrow. For anyone familiar with the area, it went from Texas to Oakland. Took a day-long sightseeing tour in the back of a truck. Went past my house to West Sacramento, then bounced back down to San Pablo, also past my house in the other direction. Another day-long sightseeing tour. Back to San Pablo. Where will it go tomorrow? Good thing it’s nothing perishable like medications or lobsters. ---
