# Mac and mail

I check my (earthlink) email frequently online. When I check it on my PowerBook G4, and if I click a button/link before the page is loaded, I get this message:
Error: status code is undefined
Why? Doesn’t happen on the PC. Doesn’t happen on any other pages. Only earthlink webmail.

Probably means that they’re coding the page for specific browsers, and didn’t consider “Safari” to be a valid case.
You might see if they’ve got POP or IMAP access, and just set up Mail to get mail from there directly and skip the web interface.

I get mail in my Mac mailbox, and it’s deleted from webmail when it downloads onto my PC. But I check my SpamBlocker a lot since I don’t add anyone to my authorised senders list until they send me an email, and I don’t like a bunch of spam sitting in it.
If earthlink changed something, it must have been in the last few weeks. I’ve only recently been getting the alert.
