Somehow it makes sense: working with a prostitute helped Lipton get the experience he would need to tell people like Jennifer Lopez that they are great actors. ---

I don’t know. If I was making a list of people who I’d least imagine working as a pimp, James Lipton would be the first person on the list who wasn’t a former Vice President. ---

I’d also like to see a list of people you least suspect but would be totally unsurprised if they turned out to be pimps. I’m afraid James Lipton is on that list for me. ---

I was flipping through his book the other day, and saw what is probably the most famous picture ever of his wife- she posed for the shot of Miss Scarlett in the original _Clue_ board game! Oooh la la! Although he did say it was a bit disconcerting to know that your wife did it in the drawing room with the candlestick… ---
