Doctor Génessier kidnaps young women and surgically removes their faces in hopes of grafting the skin onto his hideously deformed daughter. This is all seen in more detail than you might care for, despite being made in 1959. If you haven’t seen Franju’s brilliant [\*\*Eyes Without a Face](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053459/)\*\*, check it out–Criterion now has it on DVD. ---
