Over a million users who watch it on TV. Their demographic is also the one most likely to watch it in other forms, whether it’s online the next day, or torrented that very night. I wouldn’t be surprised if the TV figures severely under represent the show’s reach.

Maybe. Still, this is a long way from a majority of people between 18 and 35. Cite for their viewership:

Jon Stewart’s “Daily Show” drew 1.3 million 18-49 year olds last month, for the first time beating both Letterman and Leno, both with 1.2 million in that demo. It’s realistic that Conan should draw about the same number in that demographic.

There were also reports in mid-2009 that the average age of Daily Show viewers had risen to 41.
