Alice In Chains: Dirt. After 23 years, still my favorite album to listen to. Nothing like it, and nothing will ever compare to it. Layne Staley was a haunted son-of-a-bitch. ---

I own the album and haven’t listened to it in years, or more specifically since I stopped using heavily. I know that if I listen to “Junkhead”, “Sickman”,or “Godsmack” the feeling of nostalgia will come over me and that would not be a good thing. That being said, I think Jerry Cantrell wrote most of the songs not just on that album but in general. ---

Yes, Cantrell wrote most of Dirt & Facelift…Staley wrote the majority of the third album (Tri-leg)(Tri-Pod)(Self-titled). Cantrell & Staley had great harmonics, but Staley’s tortured voice is incomparable. ---
